Class Description: EZ Street is a heads-up class designed for street legal cars from a major manufacturer weighing a minimum of 3,100 pounds. Small blocks weigh 3,200, big blocks must weigh 3,400. Cars will qualify on a .400 Pro-Tree and eliminations will run on a Pro ladder.
Body: Stock bodylines must be retained. Fiberglass pieces limited to hood and bumpers. Hood scoops allowed but must not protrude above halfway position on windshield. No forward facing hood scoops allowed, unless equipped from factory. All factory glass windows required and must be operable. Lexan not allowed (trucks may replace rear window with lexan for roll bar exit). Factory spoilers allowed. Aftermarket or custom wings not allowed. Factory Grill and headlights required. Inner Fenders are required but may be notched for header or roll bar clearance. Stock floor pans required front to rear but may be notched for sub-frame connectors. Trunk pan may be notched for fuel cell or fuel pump placement, but must remain intact. Wheelbase must remain within factory specs, within +/- 1".
Interior: Full interior required. This includes stock dash and dash pad, stock steering column, carpet, headliner, door panels and both front seats in stock location. Rear seat is optional only if area under it is carpeted. Dash pad may be notched for roll bar clearance. Nitrous bottles in passenger area are not allowed. They are allowed in the trunk only.
Front Chassis/Suspension: Stock front frame rails and suspension required. Aftermarket control arms and bushings allowed as long as they bolt in stock locations. Rack and Pinion steering allowed. Aftermarket shocks (bolt in coil overs not allowed) and aftermarket direct replacement struts allowed, but must bolt in stock location. Aftermarket bolt in sub-frames not allowed. Cross member may be notched for oil pan clearance.
Rear Chassis/Suspension: Stock suspension only. Bolt on traction devices only. No ladder bars or aftermarket 4-links. Rear shocks may be moved for tire clearance, coil overs are allowed. Welded anti-roll devices allowed. Small tubs only, original frame rails, front & rear, in stock location required. Suspension components must be attached to frame rails in factory manner. Minor notching allowed. Rulings on controversial frame notching will be final and at the discretion of the tech official. Wheelie bars are not allowed.
Firewall: Stock firewall must be retained and in stock location. Notching for clearance of bellhousing, distributor, or supercharger allowed. Smoothing of firewall for appearance is allowed.
Engine: Any engine combination and power adders allowed. No cubic inch limit. Gasoline only. One power adder only (single supercharger, single turbocharger). Engine must be in stock location. Motor plates and solid mounts allowed. Mufflers required for all cars. Turbo exhaust should be directed toward rear of car. All exhaust must exit to the leading edge of the door. Air-to-air and water-to-air intercoolers permitted. Nitrous is limited to a single stage plate or fogger, with a redundant solenoid for purge only.
Intercoolers: Air-to-air and water-to-air intercoolers permitted.
Nitrous: Single stage wet or dry fogger systems allowed.
Transmission: Any OEM type automatic or manual transmissions allowed. Aftermarket heavy-duty cases allowed. Lenco, Jeffco or Liberty clutch type transmissions not allowed. No clutchless transmissions. Air shifters are not allowed.
Electrical: Stock headlights, taillights and turn signals required and must be functional. Horn must be present and electrical. Bracket racing aids, such as optical sensors, delay boxes and electrical or pneumatic throttle stops are not allowed. Progressive nitrous controllers and data recorders are not allowed.
Tires: D.O.T. tires only. Limited to a 30x12.50 maximum size. D.O.T. approved drag radials limited to a maximum size of 325/60R15. Tires will be measured.
Lettering/Decals: Sponsorship and decals limited to windows only.
General Rules: Deep staging allowed. Cars must cross scales after every qualifying and elimination pass. Tow-backs are not allowed. No more than two crewmembers allowed on the starting line. Crewmembers must leave the starting line and burnout area after pass. |
